Introducing Yohannes Lemley Armstrong

In Spring 2007, I began working with Children's Hope International to adopt a child from Ethiopia. All of the necessary paperwork arrived in Addis Ababa on November 15, 2007. On December 10, I received word that I had been paired with a three-year-old boy named Yohannes. I also received the above photo of him and fell in love instantaneously.

Yohannes's mother left Yohannes at birth with his maternal grandmother, who raised him for the first three years of his life. On November 30, 2007, his grandmother took him to the Finot Lewegen orphanage in Addis Ababa.

Oh, congrats. You have the sweetest little guy. We SO enjoyed him while there. We played ball with him every day. He would walk over and hand me the ball, so I fell in love with your wonderful son.

Congratulations, Patricia! He is so so cute and I am thrilled for you that you FINALLY made it to this point! I did try emailing you again a couple times back in Jan/Feb, but received a delivery failure message each time :( But I have been thinking of you and can't wait until you have Yohannes in your arms! God bless you :)

Hi, we have been home almost 6 weeks with our sib group from Ethiopia. I was just going through some of the paperwork and noticed the name of the orphanage they were breifly in at 1st. My google search took me to your blog. Do you know anything about the orphanage or have photos? I would be extremely grateful for anything you know!
